- 43' DOUBLE CABIN (1970 - 1984)
After 3 years out of the water. I am in the water and running. I purchased the 1973 DC with 6-71 D.D. in December, with all the help and info you guys provided. I added an addative to the old fuel, plus 12 gal. of new fuel in each tank. Held the stop button and rolled the engines over until I had oil preasure. Temp. was 55 deg.. I pushed the start button. The engine rolled over and in 2 seconds the engines fired. There was no smoke from eather engine. Just bird nests. They hunted for about 30 seconds. Then settled down to a 600 rpm.. I don't think I could ask for anything better. The generator took a lot longer to get started. It also ran fine except for, it has to me, an unaseptable vibration. Maybe the rubber feet on the gen side are bad. Its an Onan 7.5. Not fun to get at. Its on the agenda though. Everything on the boat works. It needs lots of T.L.C.. Thanks guys for all the help and info.. The boat just keeps getting better. I think I got more than my moneys worth. Keep up the good work. BILL
