Well we bought the book "Passages South" 10th edition. Bruce Van Saint. Looks like he has had a ton of experience in cruising same areas so may follow his advice. I have no timeline but Before the end of the year. Might go hang out in the Keys before heading out. Only time will tell. Thanks.

We chartered a 56 MY for 2 weeks last year in the BVI's. FYI, there is a published 60 foot limit on the mooring balls. Don't know if its enforced, but its tough to get a good anchor down. We found mostly hard bottom with light sand coverings. It's wonderful there. Keep us posted on how it goes. I'd love to do it as well.
