  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
52' CONVERTIBLE (1983 - 1990)
off the icw there are certain locations that are considered /// safe haven /// bad weather hide out /// and so on /// how does one identify these places they are as i understand pointed out some way. I would really like a web site to refer to....
Reason
I have kept my boats at taylor boat workes a working mariner for about 10 years. It is quiet on the weakends and holidays. The owner has retired and i have rented the property while it will be managed and operated as a working mariner there are about 6 slips that i will be renting. The same as in the past. The creek is known as a foul weather refuage as i understand.
I will keep a 60 foot slip open for HOF transit AND BY THE WAY ROSENTHAL FREEBIRD IT WILL BE FREE FOR 2 NIGHTS INCLUDING ELECTRIC. Come stay with me for a night or two no fuel there but we can call the fuel truck they will come for .01 cent per gallon over their location on Morehead water frontGulf docks. I use them all the time.

Active captain is without a doubt the most used resource. The data is not one available on line and in a number of app for offline use but it is also licensed to most marine electronic manufacturers and available in chart plotters

Congrats on the new endeavor. I've prowled around there many times.

Congrats on the new business.

It was all a matter of keeping my slip!!! It is not what a old retired man needs to do. If you are in the area drop by we are making a captain lounge you can have ONE free drink . You gotta spell that out for some.

Please come on back. Nothing is changing. John has just retired and got out. He has a mountain house and a maudlin and a rocking chair. He is done!! After 32 years of it. He left the employees a lot as a matter of fact every thing. He just hooked to his skiff and went home March 31. The guys left have been there for about as long as he has...

What nothing for me? I guess I'll have to go back to Spooners Creek.

There is room if not you can have mine. We do not have a lift just a railway. The biggest pulled was a 80 Huckins i suspect the guys could get yours out of the water if needed. We got 50 amp service but no 100amp.

Good luck with the venture I hope it breaks even.

I'm thinking from SWFL it could be a while. Can we apply inflation to the offer of a free beverage? I'm thinking by the time I get up there I should be good for a tank of fuel. I'll spring for a tip to the driver.

Love to have you Dan as long as you understand one free per boat party. I have to do that because of Freebird and them drug store cowboys. Love to meet all the guys passing by we are right off the icw about 200 yards. We might eaven fire up the grill although we are about 4 blocks from several restaurants. COME ON LIKE I SAID IT IS BUBBA DOCKING AT ITS BEST bY THE WAY we do not have fuel we call the fuel truck from morehead from Gulf docks, they charge ,01 per gallon to deliver takes about 2 hours after you call them. They hall about 1200 gallons at a time.

Very good policy, Tim.

Try to keep Randy, Dan, and everyone to a single free serving if possible...but watch out for loopholes!

What is the world coming to when YOU start spelling things out?

Me and Pucker might just come a knocking this summer and help you weed out the riff raff.

Tim,

Sounds great if your invite is open to cruisers. We have often looked for a place in the area. I expect to be in the area in early June.Did somebody say fishing?

Yes sir any HOF boat is welcome for a free night or two and a free brew the fishing trip is another story. That darn 52 drinks at about 48 gallons a hour at cruse all tips welcone. Its about a 2 hour run out and a 2 hour run home(IF YOU WANT TO BILL FISH) from Morehead and about 45 min from hatteras. where i will be a big part of the summer. But you guys cam have a free slip anytime. While we are fishing the wife can use my ride for looking around. COME ON DARN WHAT ELSE CAN I DO AINT GOING TO FEED YOU.

bY THE WAY WE DO NOT MONITOR THE RADIO JUST CALL TAYLOR BOAT WORKS BEFORE 5;00

Tim, do you permanent slips? We're over in Beaufort at Homer Smith's and are committed for the year, but having someplace to tie up that can haul would be really nice. Shoot me an email Rickysa @ aol.com; (or call) there are some other things I'd like to chat with you about also.

Awesome, Tim!

I'm hoping to do a cruise with at least one other boat, sometime this summer, down to Beaufort, NC - this gives us another place to "hit" while we're south! (That's assuming I have another boat by then, fingers crossed!)

Neither of us will be Hatteras, hope that's ok :) We might be the riff raff Randy is referring to.
