The name may have come back to bite him.

Let's not think NEGATIVE.... Maybe he was just cleaning the hull like blowboaters do so as to save money.....

Where in va? You really have to look for the bottom to find it here...

Hope it turned out ok, those ER vents are too close to the water for comfort!

Looks like the bottom found him. Would love to hear the story behind that one... the real one.

How about this: " Had to go down and take a leak, so I put it on autopilot. I was only down there for a few minutes."

How about... "I read on HOF I'm supposed to do engine room checks every 30 minutes, but the breaker for my autopilot tripped because I bought it from Home Depot and had it wired with my GPS and my toaster... and blender... and hair dryer."

Or......"I slowed down and pulled over so the other guy could give me a slow pass"

Or... "I had to dodge an illegal dock that was in MY waterway!"

"Rumor has it" He had hired a capt out of Tennysea......:p

Yep, AFTER that Florida captain beached his boat. See how much better it's doing now? :)

Looks like he lucked out. Couldn't have been too much damage. I bet the boat left a big impression in the bottom. Is the epa after him to restore it?

Going back to the original photo. Did your buddy possibly cut off the pulpit as not to show an anchor rode out? If speed under power put the boat that far out of the water, I don't see how he ended up without damage to the running gear. Then again, he may be limping to a yard in that second photo. Maybe he was anchored and the tide ran out from under him. Then again, I don't see any signs of low tide looking at the shoreline. Beaching a boat to the port side is a bit odd.

Careful with the EPA Comments, someone maybe knocking on your door soon. Then Obama will decide he has to give a speech on Global Warming, and how boat owners act "Stupidly" oh I 'm sorry that was the "His Professor, Cambridge Police and Beer Gate". My Mistake. He probably knows about this but some how not about, IRS, NSA, Fast and Furious, Benghazi, and Now that you will NOT get to keep your insurance,,,PERIOD. Seems lately he knows about everything he shouldn't, and Nothing about everything he Should. I really wouldn't be surprised if someone gets fined over that, If it were the FL. Keys, you might as well sign over your First Born, Muddy Intercoastal who knows but all it takes is you to make a little mistake and some Government Spook to get a wild hair up his Butt and your Toast. I'm Glad it worked out for the Captain/Owner, you hate to ever see that happen. I'm sure Boats fine,, I was behind a 70C on the Alligator River in NC by the swing Bridge one year and he went up hard at 28 Knots in about 3 to 4 feet of water. I checked and made sure they were all ok and 2 days later he pulled into Atlantic city behind us. He said tow Boat floated him off and they sustained NO damage other than he thinks he slightly threw a blade out of balance because he a VERY SLIGHT Vibration at cruise and he was going to have it check next day in Newport, RI. Testament to a solid boat.

Left left out proper documentation and customs forms, then throw in a Connecticut SS number.

Not to mention prices will necessarily skyrocket. The water where the boat went aground was not the most transparent in history either.

Nope, it wasn't.
