Lowest Barometric Pressure here in the Midwest in 50-80 years last week. The Mackinaw Bridge recorded 84mph winds!

No, I was not out there, but in fact I was on the hard early this year. My brother in law lives in Sault Ste. Marie and keeps his sailboat (it's a nice 39' Catalina), at the Arnold Line Mill Dock in St. Ignace, where I have my Hatt. He says my custom canvas held up well in the high winds, so it should be able to take anything! Whew.
His wife (my sister) says there were many big Lakers (700-1'000 footers) heaved to in the St. Mary's River, staying off Lk. Superior, for the big blow.
