i need a 16K btu airconditioning compressor

i had one replaced earlier this year, aroudn $1000 installed, all included incl. refinishing the chassis, tubes, and all, evac. charging, etc...

Local hvac company installed a new one on mine this May. I did the reinstall of the chasis and the recharge. The compressor was a Tecumsa. $400 parts $200 labor installed on the chasis.

Try SAM's. I know they sold them a few years ago.

Depends whether you want to do this yourself...you could probably match up the compressor with one from WW Grainger...but unless you know how to do all this, it will get messy and time-consuming. Can you get someone else to rebuild the chassis with a new compressor?

I have a friend with a shop that does ac's but he cannot locate the compressor. I only need the compressor, preferably a rotary unit.

Get the numbers off the current compressor and google it.
