HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAUL!!!

9 hours and 30 minutes!

Thanks Beach Girl! I was worried as several more threads got started immediately after I originated this message, and it got pushed down the page toward oblivion.

Gonna be in "Boowford" this June with the boat. Will stop by and say hello!

I didn't see this thread all day. Guess I wasn't paying attention!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Paul!

Happy b day Paul!

:D Thank you :D

Now that I have passed the half century mark, I can honestly ask without being ashamed.........

what did you say ?

I did not hear you.

Where's my reading glasses ?

What day is this ?

" I forgot" are the everyday words :o

And those darn AARP flyers, Geeeeeeeeeze !

And this is what my wife and daughter bought me :

WOW WOW WOW They must really love you. You are quite the
"cause du celebre" today. Best to ya matey !! ws

I like love this gift Bill and you are right, it comes with a cord, which is why I can not understand why Becky would not like a gift with a cord !!

For dinner my daughter made these small meatloaf patties. About the size of a double home made hamburger. They are filled with onions, cheese and a sweet sauce with brown sugar. Yum Yum .

Add those mashed taters, cream corn, black eyes peas and some cinnamon applesauce.......

for desert, Becky made me an angel food cake with fresh strawberries.

I know I am aging fast, and now you all know why my waistline is in a race with my birthdays

Since I am moving so slow, from age and that dinner, I think I am going to turn in early tonight ........

Thanx for all the greetings today :D

Congrats Paul, a Powermatic 8" Joiner is a GREAT gift for anyone, guess I'll pass this on to the General and see if she takes the hint. I just have enough room in the shop for one!!

Sounds like you have one terrific family my friend - keep your health and you'll have it all!!

I'm a little late here, but better late than never,....May you have a lot more birthdays to celebrate,.....and may we be here to greet you....
Now go play with your new toy...AND WATCH YOUR FINGERS!!!

Miguel

We had a training instructor demonstrating shop safety. When they got to the joiner he ran it up and edged a piece of wood. Eager to show off his prowess, he grabbed the guard and while saying "whatever you do, DONT do this", swung the guard over while the knives were still turning
Whatever I do, I will NEVER do that. His name was Larry the Legend before that. Not a dummy, he was also a fire department captain.
Ya gotta keep your wits about you when dealing with this stuff; skin and bones wont even make power tools burp !! ws

As Miguel said better late then never HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Nice Gift just wait to see what you get next year since you will be even older it should be Bigger Right :D

Thanx guys.

I always try to keep my fingers out of harms way.

In fact my wife and daughter now enter my shop slowly, and never tap me on the shoulder, ect... to get my attention while I have tools running.

The jointer/planer is actually the 6" model. Comes pre-wired for 110V but is switchable to 220V

Putting that 200 lb table on the base unit was "kind of tricky" ......my back keeps saying OUCH !!

Better late than never I hope....Happy Birthday Paul!

My daughter's is today.....May is a good month.

It really looks like a quality piece Paul ! Keep the nails out of the knives !! ws

Happy Birthday Paul.

May is a good month ......

Some of the finest people I know have a birthday in May :D

Thanx for the well wishes.

Bill,

I have the jointer together now, but have not had time to plug it in and play with it yet. :(
