Hi,

I have the uneviable job of having to replace the stator on the discharge side of the head.

Need to know the steps if someone has documented them or if someone can point me to the steps.

Got the housing loose but it's not clear how to get the macerator blade off, etc.

Thanks.

Whack the end of the macerator blade with a small hammer. This will break it free and it will unscrew. Then pull the old stator off of the spiral shaft and slide on a new one. Reinstall the blade and cover and you should be good to go.

Thanks Sky. By whacking the macerator blade do you mean as if you were trying to turn it or hit it head on as if you were trying to force it back onto the shaft?

Which way should it unscrew? With the unit in front of me, macerator on the right, do I unscrew it towards me or away from me?

Whack the end of it as if you push it into the shaft. That will free it up and you should be able to unscrew it by hand (lefty loosey).

Go to FAQ section here and see GalleyMaid Head Pump Troubleshooting.
