  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
53' MOTOR YACHT (1969 - 1988)
I am aware of three basic model of the 53' hulls from 1969 thru 1987. The classic, the ED and the C.
Does anyone here have a quick reference to the totla number of the 15-10, 53 hulls built and how many were in each model? Are there additional models I am not aware of?

I asked Steve a similar question, and was amazed that he seemed to know right off the top of his head. Worth a call...

I could be wrong, but the number I've seen most often is that 349 Motor Yachts were built including the 53ED. The rest were the 53 Convertible.

I was told that around 40 of the 53ED were built. If true, that means 10% of them are in my marina.

I thought it looked like there were several of them there when I was up that way a couple of weeks ago. It looks like there are a few classic and classy yachts there.

There was also the model '53 Yachtfish built on the same hull which was the little sister to the larger '58 Yachtfish.

We had a 53' SF visit our marina this past weekend. Beutiful boat and very well proportioned.
Thanks to all for their responses.
