  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
53' MOTOR YACHT (1969 - 1988)
Just when you think a project will be simple, its not. I have a small warning light on the 110 breaker panel next to the "Battery Charger" breaker. The bulb is burned out. Just replace it right? Until you call the electrical supply houses and ask for one. Mine is a typical bayonett style base, the buld is approx 1" long and approx 3/8" diameter. The only markings is "82A" in black on the side of the base. Has anyone gone through this and can tell me the correct bulb to use or at least a part number? I am assuming it is a 120v bulb since it is on a 120 breaker? I will check the socket with a meter this weekend to verify that. Thanks in advance for any help.
Ben

You may try and give Sams a call. They have many of the lighbulbs that were origionally included in your Hatteras.

Its probably a neon 120V lamp......

I agree with Karl. Those funky little indicator light bulbs are 120vac neon an are available from Sam's

I was delighted to learn that Sam's has a file on everey(?), (or most) Hatteras' built. Just email your hull #, tell 'em what you need and they can furnish just about any original part - if it's still in production.

Good luck,
Capt'n Bill

Take the bulb to WW Grainger if you have one close by ... they have them.

If you still can't find what you need elsewhere, I have found this place: http://www.atlantalightbulbs.com/

They have a lot of the basic 32v bulbs I use such as the overhead lights, nav lights, courtesy lights, etc.

I purchase them at McMaster-carr

I believe it is a B2A, neon bulb.

I agree, I think you'll find it's a B2A.

I have eight of them in my 120V panel. They aren't cheap and I could only find them in one place out here.....

I tried the B1A once because that is all they had in stock, but it wasn't bright enough. Now I order six at a time. Some last well over a year, but every once in awhile I get one that burns out in six months.

Bernie

Yup, probably a B2A and Sam's has'em...
