I'd like some suggestions before I get started hunting. I did an engine room check last night and saw the battery charger for the port 8D bank was putting out 7 amps at 12 volts. It turned out to be the port lights. None were on and I didn't see anything amiss, but repeatedly turning this breaker on and off would cause the charger to charge or not. So what might be the cause and how do I find it. It is a new issue. The batteries checked out good a week ago. For now the port lights breaker is 'off'.

Something has a draw on that breaker. Could something have been added to that circuit by a po? Maybe a fan or a closet light.

That's the bank that you did not just replace correct?

Scott, we checked everything we could find, lights fans blowers etc and could not find it. And it has just begun to happen. Strange.

And yes, this is the bank you found to be good.

It's definitely a draw on the circuit. Not sure where to look but maybe pull the bulb from each fixture one at a ti.e if it's only lights . Maybe a short in a fixture or its switch. It would probably be warm too.
