House water pump

Had the original house water pump rebuilt (I think a Groco 32V) and the rebuilders rewound the motor to 32 amps, then 25 amps (I think it wants to be 15 amps). After the 32 wind the pump was kicking the breaker. After the 25 wind same thing. Supposedly they're rewinding to 15 now.

Am I missing something here or do these guys just have their head up their arse? Oh and at least it looks good (new coat of paint!)

Who is doing the work? I thought most of the 53's had GalleyMaid pumps. If it is a GM, they can do the rebuild for you or maybe even exchange it out.

Not sure if it's a GM.

My guy at Washington Marine (Cincinnati) says he's sent it back to Geo Hust (Cincinnati) for reworking. They are sending the whole unit this time to be reworked (instead of only part of it) and have a better level of confidence they'll get it right this time.
