Re: Economy ???
Thread closed (by me)

There wasn't a need to close the thread. It was an interesting and sobering look back. Yes a few heated comments were thrown but if the thread continued I don't think that would have been the tone.

I guess a certain moderator closes any thread he disagrees with.

My fault for dredging it up the way I did, and on a day when emotions wound up running pretty high. Well, that and some whiny pro-being-told-how-to-live-life guy (they're always from New York aren't they) that seemed to think the only taxes we pay are the income tax. I guess that lack of being able to understand how all taxes get passed to the consumer and how nothing is free must run in the water there or something.

Anyway, Mea Culpa, and I'll try not to piss in the pinkos' cheerios too often. This is supposed to be a fun place where we talk about fun stuff on the water.

On that note, I finally got my lifting harness sorted out for the Livingston 12 and got it up on the fore deck. None too soon either! I didn't realize that one day of heavy rain could come within a couple of inches of swamping the little girl. Makes sense with the tunnel hull and huge surface area. Looks like I need to install TWO bilge pumps (one for each hull) and some kind of solar charger for the battery if I want to be able to leave her in the water at all. Damn!

While I'm not happy about that, I've got to say I'm overjoyed with the performance. She's got a little console and a big (relative to mass) 20 hp Yamaha, and "zippy" doesn't even begin to describe it.
