Check your davit…. I think the originals are rated about 750lbs (mine is) and check the deck up there…. They get soft.

These boats had different deck supports over the years. Some had side poles, others had thinner tubes over the aft rail. Reinforcing the deck and adding support is not difficult but Anything over 900-1000 lbs and you d better have oversized stabs!
