My weekend project. The seals I removed had a rectangular cross section. The ones I see as replacements have a circular cross section. Anybody got a part number for the double stack seals? I've got the dunking formula, how long should I let the HE soak?

Soak until it quits "boiling." That will typically take less that 5 minutes if you mix the solution per the DD specs. Mine usually quit boiling in 2-3.

Their should be a gland seal between the orings. Got mine at DDA surprise suprise they were cheaper than diesel pro

On this one, it's a double stack, so 2 inlet tubes, each with a retainer, a seal, a retainer, and another seal. The seals have flat surfaces on both faces and both edges, but the ones I see online as replacements are round in profile. Our Covington DD dealer does not carry any 2 stroke parts, penalty of not living on the coast. So I've been using K & S diesel, or Diesel Parts Direct. I'm just not sure if the round profile seals are a replacement for the square.

Look like this? Mine are round

Like to see the "after" photos on these....

It's been a while since I acid cleaned my cores, but I recall the new seals were round in cross section and old ones appeared square having been pressed into that shape in service.

That's just like mine. The seals are circular of course, but if you cut it, they are square, not round. I'm calling K&S today and I suspect the new ones are round. I just finished dipping mine and whaooo...boiling is the right word. I didn't realize how based it was until it was clean!
