Hatteras Model
32' FLYBRIDGE FISHERMAN (1983 - 1987)
The control/mixer lever in my 1983 32' FBSF is leaking severly. Took the handle off and tried to tighten the adjustment ring. No luck. apparently time has caused a groove in the plastic ball which will require a repair kit replacement. Does anyone have an idea the mfg of this fixture? Three separate parts: (1) Control handle/mixer; (2) separated faucet; (3) shower control pressure switch (pushes down to activate). The base of the control handle/mixer is knurled and appears to ha ve to be removed to access the innards of the mixer. Is this correct, and if so, do you have to access the underside of the assembly from inside the cabinet (ugh!). If anyone has replaced/repaired or knows of the mfg of this fixture used by Hatteras, I would greatly appreciate your help. Thanks so much. Did speak with Steve, but he didn't have any info re the above.

I feel your pain! I did one of these on Mike's 32. The faucet is a Delta 600 with diverter. They have been out of production for 20 years. Rebuild kits are still avail, I would give that a try. In Mike's case a faucet was located in a warehouse and a master plumber added the diverter. It took weeks to find the NOS faucet. The cabinet pulls out for access to the fittings. Good Luck.

PS send Moreland in there to fix it.

Sounds like it's easier to replace the entire faucet with a new one....I did that when I replaced sinks aboard my 1972 Hatt and went to single lever...

Nothing else fits and no one uses seperate diverters. It is an unusual installation.

captddis:

Thanks for the info. I was afraid that was the case, having to go under and remove the cabinet.

Refuse to have Dick go in there, would probably get stuck and then I would have to live with him forever!!!

Have a great weekend.

Thanks again.
