Haul out help with 1975 53 MY

I have gone through so many threads and still cant find the answer I need.

I have to haul out and the yard wants to know my exact weight to determine what travel lift to use.

I thought this would be an easy find, apparently not.

Any one got the answer? I know it depends on how much fuel water etc, but what is the full loaded weight? I would rather give them the max weight.

Personally I would be very leery of any boatyard that didn’t already know the answer to that question.

Shaun, I have some notes in my log book from a former owner that says 55,000 pounds empty. Not sure how correct. I guess it depends on how much jewelry the wife has moved on board. Lol. Well it’s a good point to start.

35 ton lift is my minimum.
We weigh 63,000lbs with 1/2 fuel and water, plus our stuff.
25 ton might do it, and I am sure there is a 50% fudge factor. I never liked the idea of having to call an insurance carrier over that.

Mine (non ED) is 55,000 lbs dry. 700 gallon of diesel 4900 lbs. 290 gal water, 2400 lbs. So fully loaded would be around 62,000 lbs. I would say 65,000 lbs would be a good number to give them. And I like the 35 ton minimum lift number.

Thanks. The one travel lift can do 38 tons and the bigger one is down and that why they were asking.

So I should be good with a 38 ton lift

I asked dont they know the wight and they also said depends on your fuel load and how much gold bars the wife has etc.
