Yow.

Let's hope not; Hatteras has survived all the other recessionary hits, including the oil embargo.

To set the record straight - there's no truth in it.

Hatteras did decide to close the plant they opened in Swansboro, NC, primarily due to the general down turn in the marine industry. The plant had only been producing a few select models for about three years.

Wonder how many SeaGay factories they will close?

Hatteras Yachts going out of business would be sad. Sams Marine going out of business would be a disaster! ;)

Very glad to hear that all is as well as it can be in this environment, and the company is not at risk.

Thanks Mike!

These are indeed challenging economic times, especially for marine manufacturers.

I do know Hatteras is preparing to launch the new 56 Motor Yacht at the Hatteras Yachts Expo, where they will have more than 500 guests and participants.

They have also added four new international dealers, and two new sales managers in just the past two months.

International sales have increased substaintially since last year.

And finally, they are making plans to announce before the end of the year, the introduction of more new products into the marketplace.

Hatteras isn't going anywhere - and if we keep working hard to keep our great customers happy, neither is Sam's Marine!
