Recently watched the pilot for The Sopranos. Tony gets on a boat with his Russian babe. Looks like a Hatt?

Yep, it's a Hatt. There was another episode involving a big boat with the same name, but I can't remember if it was a Hatt. What I do remember was the goofy interior scenes which clearly weren't shot on the boat. That's the episode where getting Pussy on a boat brought on whole new meaning. :D

That boat was the original Stugots. It was tied to a pier at a warehouse near Hoboken. There also was an Egg Harbor a custom SF and a 62 Ocean that were used. The boat they used for getting rid of Big Pussy was called a Sea Ray 50 but was actually a 40 something Bayliner express Tony was thinking of buying.

I wasn't thinking of buying it, I just google that pick and that was the closet sample pic I saw to the boat on TV.

I can't remember the name of the waterfront restaurant in NJ where Walter P took me when I came up for YankeeFest, but apparently the cast of "The Sopranos" hung out there on a regular basis. Had the look of a 50 Sea Ray, but it did seem a tad small for that. Never knew Bayliner built an express that large, but there is no way that was the interior of that boat in the video. At least I'm assuming it wasn't not having been on one. I've spent a fair amount of time on a Sea Ray 500DA and knew it wasn't a match on that boat for sure.

Yah, not even close on the interior. That's probably a 3 sided set for ease of filming. The port side it would bet is missing.

I miss that show. Such a shame about James Gandolfini.

A shame about him, he was a great actor, and from all accounts, a very decent man. Unlike the piece of garbage that he played.

That's why they call it acting.

Tony had a way about him. A way I'd not want to cross. The characters were all well defined and somewhat flawed. That's what made them so good. It sure beat the hell out of America's go no damn talent.

Hey, Tony Soprano had his good points. I mean he didn't shoot Pussy in the face, right?

Oh yeah, and he saved Christopher from choking to death in his own blood. Only a true friend would pinch your nose and cover your mouth to help speed you on you way.

It is a shame. As good as he was playing a mobster like in Sapranos, and the movie, "True Romance", he was also a very funny actor. He was funny in the movie "Get Shorty", and also very funny, in the movie "Surviving Christmas".

That being said the movie "True Romance" for those of you who have never seen it is truly an amazing movie. It's nothing like the title suggests. The cast and the plot line are great, and there is a scene with Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walken which was voted as the best scene ever in a movie. Some of the other cast members are James Gandolfini, Christian Slater, Val Kilmer, Christopher Penn, Gary Oldmen, Brad Pitt, Patricia Arquette, Tom Sizemore, Samuel L Jackson, Michael Rappaport, and a few others. Just a great movie, for those of you that like a non stop, Romance, Mob, Cop, realistic type action movie, it's great. I remember when I saw it at the movies forever and a year ago when the movie ended people in the theater stood and applauded. I didn't because I had food on my lap, but most everyone else did. Anyway it's a good movie and I highly recommend it.

No but Vincent shot Marvin in the face

He probably didn't file the proper request.

Although the "Mob" is in reality a rather low life bunch, say what you will but if they actually ran the
casinos in Atlantic City they would probably be doing well today ...... even with the skim. Don't have
any delusions about the kind of people they really are...trust me Tony Soprano was a saint compared to
the real thing....

I'd take the old time mafia over the gangs today. They had standards and lines they wouldn't cross. Today nobody is safe.
