Hatteras Classic Club Annual Rendezvous Sept 3-7

The Hatteras classic club's annual rendezvous will be held at The Harbour Inn and Spa in St Michaels Md.

Activities include the informative boaters University on Thursday. The open boat portion of the rendezvous will be Friday and Saturday. This is just a small sample of the events planned.

I went last year and plan to go again. I think Cheryl also goes. It's a very nice event with an excellent full day workshop. Best since Roger stopped doing them.

My wife and I are also attending. We strongly encourage anyone that is a Hatteras nut to attend. Even if you are not a member of the Hatteras Classic Club. We will be cruising there from Baltimore. If anyone wants to join and cruise together, we typically try to set that up. Makes for a great cruise leading up to the rendezvous!

I reserved my slip many months ago. The invitation was, I thought, very confusing unless you had been to one of these things before in which case perhaps it made sense. I sent a check in over a month ago which has not been cashed and I have heard nothing further. It's all very strange. So I will be there on my boat. Not sure about any of the rest. I like St Michaels and will enjoy the visit either way. I may see you there Geoff. BTW, that guy bought the 61. He left with her on Thursday headed for home.

Hi Ben, I spoke to Don on the phone back in mid-June. He did clarify some of the questions that I had. After that conversation I sent my check in with the desired boxes checked. If it wasn't received, let me know.

The rendezvous is in full swing in St Michaels, Md. The weather is perfect, there are 15 Hatteras docked. Thursday's workshop included a presentation from Mid Shore Electronics, Chuck Myers fom Bluewater, Custom Marine Refrigeration and A/C Service, Petit Paints, Composite Yacht, Yacht Controller as well as several "open forum" question and answer sessions. Following was a beer tasing event hosted by a local craft brewery and the. Dinner at the ever popular Crab Claw resturant. Friday's activities include the open boat tour which will include 1/2 of the boats in attendance. The balance will be available for tour Saturday. Check back, I will keep everyone informed about the rest of the event.

A fantastic time again this year! Don Butte has done a fine job putting the event together, beautiful venue, and a GREAT group of folks!! This is just my third time at a club rendezvous, but I like it more and more each time and I think it's too bad we only get to do this once a year up here. Wonderful people and such special boats!

I haven't taken that many pictures but here are a few that I did manage to take...

Jim you should stop by today even if you don't have your boat, if you can manage.
