I think this boat has been on here before. It looks pretty good in photos.

We got as far as the survey on this boat and "walked" when we found it had taken on water that filled up the generator room and came up about 2 feet between the engine rooms. Apparently it may not have been discovered right away. Full of mold and rot. The pluses are many though, starting with $160K that was spent on those engines and gears by a top DD guy. The pictures are older than you might think, but she still looks good.

Unless it was addressed since August 30, 2015 (the date of our survey), I would say yes.

Good to know, Whoever wrote the Ebay listing wasn't very truthful. He make it seem as though the owner was a guy who could own anything and decided to refit an old Hatteras because it's what he wanted. Not because it's what he had to do. I hate when people don't disclose things. Sorry you had to unfortunately spend money to find out the extent of the damage or possibly to find out at all it happened if this was not originally disclosed to you.

Discussed here at length several times.

Apparently the "previous owner" was the one that had a blank check that is referred to in the ad, not the current owner. It was an expensive survey day for us, but saved us a fortune in future headaches and expense. Although we were a little discouraged, we rented a car in Chattanooga that same day and drove straight to Pensacola where we found our girl.
