Hatteras 1510 Rendezvous 9/9 to 9/13 Update

We have 45 paid reservations and 9 boats attending so far. Previous hosts have told me to expect 7 to 10 attend at the last minute. Highlights include a visit to USCG Headquarters, trip to Mt. Venon to see George & Martha, Crab Feast, Evening Tour of the city and a visit to the new Capitol Visitors Center.

It is interesting the number of Hatteras owners that have offerred to provide dockage or just meet to say hi on the way to National Harbor. Which brings me to a question. Why arent the Hatteras owners that are so close to the event not attending? This may stir up a hornets nest but if I didnt want to hear the answer, I wouldnt ask. My wife and I are so impressed with this group of owners and the knowledge and experience we have gained from this group is invaluable. I would seriously welcome all your comments about the club and what it would take to get more owners involved. We hold our annual meeting as a part of the rendezvous and would be a great way to convey the general feelings about the club to the members.
