Hatteras 1510 Club National Rendezvous

This years Hatteras 1510 Club national rendezvous will be held at National Harbor Marina September 10,11,12 and 13. The details can be viewed by going to the clubs website at www.hatteras1510club.com. This years event is only $125.00 per person! Anyone that owns a Hatteras or simply enjoys these boats are encouraged to attend. These functions are always a class act!!

Anyone that is interested in attending this years rendezvous in National Harbor fron the middle to upper Chesapeake? We are trying to arrange a cruise to the event. There are two boats from the Baltimore area running together and we would be glad to meet up with other attendees along the way. Some anticipated stops along the way are Solomons, Colonial Beach, etc. Spread the word and feel free to post your interest here or to wndsr366@aol.com

I'm was happy to read about the N.E. Rendezvous on that thread. Every time Hatt owners get together it's great to see the camaraderie and the good times. Not to mention getting ideas from seeing what other owners have done. Hope to see you at National Harbor in DC.

One of the senior BoatUS Insurance underwriters will make a presentation on Saturday morning as part of the program. He will discuss all aspects of underwriting and coverage including Florida, older boats like our Hatteras' and etc. Should be informative and helpful. He's interested in seeing some of our boats so shine them up!

At this point, "Size Matters" will be traveling with our friends "Serenity" to the rendezvous. We are leaving Baltimore Sunday a.m. and will run to Solomons, staying at Calvert Marine. Monday we are running to Colonial Beach. Arriving at National Harbor on Tuesday. Anyone else that is going to the rendezvous around this shedule, let us know and we can attempt to get together and run together.

If any of you plan to stop at Solomons on your way, I can arrange for you to stay at our club (Solomoms Island Yacht Club). Also as you head up the Potomac and pass St. Georges Island, you will be passing our creek/house. We would be glad to suggest eating/docking/anchoring spots on the lower Potomac. Regards, Bob K

Please ask them why they won't even quote insurance on any boat that has had an insurance claim in the past three years. It doesn't even matter to them if it was wasn't a "moving violation:, ie a lightning hit. If you've had any claim , they just won't quote.
You might also want to ask him the flip side too. What if I'm insured by BoatUS and have a claim (like a lightning hit). Will I be "non-renewed" when the policy is up for renewal???
