To all the Dads out there, Happy Father's Day! Hope you have an enjoyable and relaxing day...

You bet! Some time on the boat and a 3 hour ride on the "hog". It was a great day here in Ct!!

Thanks for the good wishes Imthebeachgirl. My Dad's day was spent trying to figure out why running one engine for two hours dumped several gallons of diesel into the bilge. Took almost all day to determine that the @$$#*!& that put the Racors in for a P.O. swapped the fuel lines so the stbd engine was burning off the port tank and returning to the stbd which overfilled it. We were lucky that it didn't go overboard but it still made some mess!

A father's day spent working on the boat, while not as good as using the boat, is still better than a day at work. Right?.... Seriously, that is right... isn't it?

Remember my thread about not buying women anything with a cord ?

Well as a man, if it has a cord and it is a gift to me, I am a happy camper.

For fathers day, my wife and daughter bought me the Bunn double pot coffee maker...."big smile"

And of course it is down here at the boatyard, cause I need it for the long days......another big smile !!!

Well, I actually got to use the boat, multiple boats even....

We ran about 20 miles up the lake, where a friend has a dock with shore power, way up a creek, that faces the woods. We towed the RIB, so the kids got to go tubing....one of my favorite past-times, at least from the helm of the RIB! We anchored Bongo, the water trampoline, about 30 feet off the dock to keep the kids entertained when we weren't tubing.

At night, it's so dark up there, you can watch the satellites go over.....with martini in hand, it just doesn't get much better. Too many martinis, and the satellites become close encounters.....so caution is advised.

The only downsides were the wake board boats, sending large "LOOK AT ME!" wakes into us from well less than 100' (I think they share DNA with jet-skiers) and replacing a breaker to get rid of an annoyingly weak GFCI breaker, in the dark...it was more fun than working on the boat.
