Guide for V-Berth Drawer

1987 45' Hatteras Sport Fisher

The guide for one of the V-berth drawers is broken.

It is a center Guide.

Anyone know how are where I may get one. Checked with sams and they don't have one.

Anyone doing a makeover who may have a left over? Or suggestion(s)?

Sams marine has all of the drawer parts.

They told me they didn't have a guide. Of course, I should have talked to Steve McPherson himself.

Part # 84001 is the guide, made of plastic. The drawer track is no longer available. This info is from the Sams parts catalog web site.

Is that the little plastic piece that staples on the drawer? How much are they?

Talked with Steve. I need the aluminum track not the guide. It is part # 72660 (previously). Sorry for wrong description.
He no longer carries it because his supplier is no longer in business.

Any leads on the Track is appreciated.

Make me an offer I cant refuse... Ive got 20 of them in various lengths... BTW... I got the plastic guides at menards for 1.29/pack of 3 with screws. They are purple tho, and if the judges pull out a drawer, Im screwed! ws

I'm sure I can make an offer you can't refuse. I only need one, but would take two or three. I don't know the length, but it is greater than 12" and less than 24". I'll get a measurement and make sure. Can you provide the lengths you got?
I'll also take a set of menards, if you have the right lenghts.

I replaced the plastic guides with ones I cut out of 1/4" plywood. The plastic ones crack too easily, especially when they are stapled.

DANG!!! I AM THE BOMB!!! Laughs on you guys... no one makes those extruded aluminum tracks anymore; hows $10 an inch sound... LOL yeh, right. Anyway Menards has the guides and I didnt pick any up cause' Im selfish... but being the selfish bomb I am, I took my camera to the syore for you!

Ill need to start searching the parts bin HERE and if that fails, they are on the sub... ws

I used the purple ones, but the green jobs have the corner glides included. I did not scrutinize the sizes tho...

Heres the deal.... I just spent an hour perusing the garage bins and attic here, and no go. Tomorrow I am peeling out at 0500 for Chicago to get my Roamer ready for the trip back here Monday at 0500. If they are to be had, they are on the Hatteras next door. I will do my best to search all the nooks and crannies on the 58 TC thats been undergoing serious renovations for the past 5 years. Consider all these mitigating factors when you make me my offer that I cant refuse. I went through this with the $700 worth of rail latches from sams, that some bastard stole with the rail gate and hinges to make a desk lamp outa. ;-)) ws

Am I a schmoe or what?????

If I remember... there was 8 in the master beds, plus 9 in the dresser,
4 nightstands, 8 guest and 4 dresser,2 nightstands, and probably another bunch from somewhere... I kept them taped together and have moved them 1000 times and hope the last time wasnt overboard LOL... ws

Justin, to keep you updated., Willy has not been able to find those tracks yet. I believe he is just looking to hard. If he cant find them I will be on the (dare I say it?) "sub" next week and will probably find them in 20 minutes.In fact, I have a couple of ideas of were he should look. When I talk to him next I will tell to search in a couple of places. Cell phone service is really bad where he is so I have to wait for him to call me....ppat

Just an update... Since we were readying the Roamer for a 12 hour trip on Lake Michigan, I only had the chance to search out 1137 of the 1293 hiding spots on the 58 to no avail. We will be heading back to Chicago tomorrow to retrieve my truck, and will search the rest with Ppat in hand!
If unsuccesful, I will again search through the 1500 square feet of storage here! As I mentioned before, I hope I didnt toss them after moving them for 5 years! As a last resort, Ill see if I can pull one more out that wont be used just for you! THAT ONE may cost you LOL... ws
