Hey I'm looking for some help.

Does anyone know where I can purchase the sight guages that measure tank levels that fit on the top of the fuel and water tanks? Tried pulling it up on Sams with no luck. If it's there and anyone can give me the part number I would greatly appriciate it.

I bought my sight gauges from Steve @ sams

I changed to the system that pumps air in and you measure the pressure; it's way better as the accuracy and precision are high and you can mount the gauge and controls anywhere you can run the small lines to.

However, if you want to keep it simple, I was in Sam's in Lauderdale before I installed this new system and they actually had the floats and sight gauges. Call Jeremy over there and see if they still have them.

You can get remote read from WEMA. They have a new LED remote which works well. I have Hart on my fuel tanks and just added the WEMA to my water tank.

I just ordered mine from Steve @ Sams. There is a part number stamped onto one of the flat sides of the big "nut" that threads into the tank. You also need to remove it and measure the overall length. Mine was 18"...turns out it was back ordered and going to be a few weeks for replacement.

I got mine from McMaster Carr. Here's a link to the guages:

Scroll down til you see: "Liquid-Level Gauges for Fuels". My orig fuel guages measured 18", but when I stuck the tank with a yardstick, it measured 19-1/2", so I went with that one. I realize there is always some inaccessible fuel at the bottom, but I like an accurate reading, and the old one would tell me I was empty long before that was the case. Price isn't too bad at $75 either.

If you have some extra bucks and anchor/moor out a lot, I will take a minute and bring up the WaterCounter. This has been one of the very best additions we have made to the boat. Fresh water management became extremely easy and accurate once we installed ours. You now know exactly how much water a shower, washing the dishes or doing the laundry at various cycles consumes. We lived aboard for months at a time on moorings and anchored, with no water maker and this device has been invaluable. Yes, it is pricey, but is "Hatteras quality" and so much better than any gauge.
