Hi I Have 1988 65 MY extended to 74' boat is out of water and guy doing repairs and said
did not see a grounding plate under waterline anyone have ideas if came with one input will
be greatley appricated thanks !!
 
There's no way it didn't have one when it left the factory.
 
I've seen a few Hatts out of the water that didn't have them including mine. None shown on the drawings either.

Mine doesn't have one. There is also a 60C and a 60MY in my storage building both with no grounding plate.
 
Not needed if you are NOT using old SSB equipment.
The old DYNA plates offered great connection to the sea water to extend the Di-Pole antenna effect for SSB tuners.
There is no other reason to have one.

Valuable information Ralph. I have the old SSB box up in the flying bridge console, but nothing is connected to it. I am going to remove it and junk it, as the mounts for the box are apparently the culprits in a leak into my salon overhead. Appreciate the info!
