OK, need your thoughts. My Groco 'PM' 32v oil changing pump appears to not work. I am working through the usual troubleshooting steps, but wondered if anyone else has this type of pump? It appears to be factory installed. It is marked 32v and manifolded to both main engines. It is reversable. The Depco website portrays somewhat similar looking pumps, but only from Jabsco and 12v.
Not sure if my trouble is electrical or pump impeller, so far no action after switching on.

Does the motor turn on?

Too bad it's the weekend, the guys at Depco are usually very good at troubleshooting. If for some remote reason your pump can't be repaired/refurbed, Depco does sell 32v oil change pumps, I got an Oberdorfer last year from them that works extremely well.

A few tears ago, I bought a hydraulic gear rotor pump driven by a 1/4 hp 110vac motor... found it to be INDISPENSABLE!! Just picked up a hydrailic motor to use with a 1/2 - 3/4 hp motor... toss those toy pumps in the garbage! Theres no point in my book to use a 32 vdc pump unless your genny is dead and you find yourself needing to do a SLOW oil change offshore. The direction can easily be piped with a simple manifold.
C'mon... this is the 90s LOL ws

I think that makes perfect sense Bill.
But in my case, the manifold was already there, right under the main fuse panel which had a slot labeled "Oil Change Pump" .. so I just mounted a new one right there. Now I just need to plumb a second manifold to the trannies and I am all set, but that's a ways down "the list".

Thats cool! I need to do that too. Mine had 1974 vintage black hose that was tired at best. I ended up cutting it off except a 2 foot pigtail at the pan. I now have a bolt and a clamp closing it and merely pull that and insert the plastic tube from my pump and let her rip.
Ultimately, Id like to manifold all 5 lines into a waste oil tank for easier "one shot" disposal. ws
