It looks more positive than many manufacturers. Our industrial equipment market is off more than 60%

First, I would point out they had positive cash flow for the quarter. Between cash on hand and untapped lines of credit, they have a lot of dry powder left. You might want to learn how to read a financial statement before "drawing conclusions".

I would also point out that boating is quite popular with a lot of "brothers", based on observation up and down the east coast and out in California. In fact, my broker just sold a new 80 foot Hatteras to an NBA player and has found pro athletes of a certain ethnicity to be excellent customers. So that last comment is neither true or funny.

The problem the boat industry has with getting any help from the current crew in Washington is that it is primarily a non-union industry.

I am rather impressed. Looks to me like McCoy knows how to run a successful business and I now feel confident that this company is going to be around for a very long time.
 
Well please explain the report to us folks. Hmmmm positive cash flow. If I lose 182 million in a quarter and raise 200 million I have a positive cahs flow. Does Madof ring a bell.

You can't do that for long someone will catch on. Sales off 52% in the marine sector ain't good.

Saving 240 million a year but losing 182 million in a quater ain't good. If you'all think it is good and positive buy some Brunswick stock. And therefore they can have another positive cashflow month. LOL

These were the same types of reports I saw coming out of the big three only add another zero before chit hit the fan.

A big part of the "loss" was non-cash items and accounting charges. If you care to take the time, it is all explained in the report linked above. Cash is raised by any number of methods, such as reducing receivables and inventory. It doesn't look like they took on any more debt or issued new equity, just good cash management.

Really, if you don't understand basic corporate finance, don't invest in stocks. Now actually may be the time to buy this stock since the consensus of the sheeple is that things will remain horrible forever. I have a hard time getting past the "Sea Ray thing" myself, though I do own a Whaler with a Merc engine, both of which I like.

As I said it was in bad taste. It was not meant to offend anyone but wake up. I have friends who are "minorities" but never mention it. They seem to find it as distasteful as I when people rely on the "minority status". My wife will not speak Spanish in a store. FYI one of my ethnic friends told me that joke. Maybe it's OK for him to say it but I as a non minority can not. seems about right. Not fair but right.



I live in the same world where acorn had people voting early and often. Where minorities voted for a minority candidate at almost 95% yet most could not name his running mate. Where people on the government support program got to vote for more support. Where English is a second language and hard work is repaid with higher taxes.

Blobama is not going to bail out the hard working Americans because he needs to pay his debts to the ones who worked so hard to get him elected to get their benefits. he is "minority crazy" wanting to show everyone he can fill the government with "appointees of color". This is racism true and simple.

Minority youths are responsible for 85% of the crime and violence in central Florida yet get a free walk because of their status. This wil not stop as long as they know they know they have the race card to play. I had a Doctors kid jump in from of my wife's truck to scare her. As soon as we confronted him he pulled the race card. His parents put a stop to that but the kid will use it when it suits him. he feels it is his right.

I have had it with reverse racism. Al, Jessy and the rest do anything to get civil unrest as it suits them. lazy people should get better housing and we should pay? Wrong. A non minority is not given government contracts unless minorities first passed on them. Even if they are not capable and experienced. I watch as businesses fail and houses go to foreclosure because we needed to make housing available to people who could not afford it. All this in the name of racial equality. BULL$H^T. All in the name of self serving activists. If Reverend Wright were posting it would be OK to hate the majority? I never spewed hatred or promoted hurting anyone.

What on earth does your rant have to do with what you posted?

Some members of some ethnic groups and political segments do things you don't like so that has led you to want to demean all members of said groups, by making untrue "jokes" if necessary. You want to get right down there with the lowest common denominators of the very people you despise. Do I have that right? Well, then good luck with that!
 
The comedy gene is missing from some peoples DNA. Too bad people can't take a joke in the manner it is meant. Laugh a little and life may improve.

Maybe a trip to the real world may help you see what I am talking about.
 
The present economic situation in the US was not created by the current administration. The current administration (what you refer to as the "gubmint") inherited it. The current President is better educated than most of the folks that you know. Your "gubmint" comment is directed at his skin color ... and that's poor. Judge the man by his actions. If he's a "butthole" ... call him a butthole" ... but call him that the same way that you would any other "butthole" regardless of color. I know great people of all colors ... and I know idiots of all colors ... and hopefully you feel the same.

I don't think that the government or the taxpayers (and I DO pay taxes) wants to be in the auto business, but how many jobs would be lost if nothing was done ? .... and I don't know what the "right" way to approach the auto industry was ... but, I don't think anyone else has a crystal ball either. And the jobs lost would have been by ALL ethnicities and in a lot of other industries.

As for the housing collapse ... there were lots of greedy folks that caused a lot of that ... and they were wealthy greedy folks, probably mostly not minorities .... and the same with the stock market. But the bottom line is ... the money I lost in my 401k is green, just like yours.

Let's hope that ALL of this economic crap gets settled out favorably.

As for language ... I speak English, rather eloquently I might add ... and those coming to the US should learn English or go back home and speak their native tongue.

Now ..... all that aside .... How was your weekend ? 3 kings and a spanish on saturday right outside of Hillsborough.

Randy can confirm that I am sure. (Sorry bird I just can't help myself). I also spent some time in the cajun areas and they will tell you the same as I . get the government out and let us make a living. We don't need some paper pusher telling us what we can't do.

I do not Blame the current president for the previous ones problems but I did see the collapse around the time congress went dem. Banking and the housing markets were given free run in the BJ clinton years and no one ever tightened back the reigns. pelosi,reed and others scare me because they get to do what ever suites them and no one can or will put limits on either congress or the white house.

My problems with the current administration are he is so tied to his buddies at the unions and his other political buddies that the benevolence of his position is lost as he repays them. Why do the unions get a better position than other creditors? Why does he get to fire a CEO? How will he not socialize companies that the gov now owns? It's a sham.

Do I want free health care. Of course. The problem is the "free "health care he offers is too expensive for us both. It's not free for us. There are too many people not working here for us to support. I just saw more companies going belly up because they can not survive the economic downturn but no bail out for us. Why not?

FYI he is not "black" in my book. I wish he was.

Blobama (not Brobama) is a muslim sympathizer and socialist who will sell us out to make his middle eastern buddies happy. His first major interview was with an arab news agency. and nothing pisses me off more than a young healthy guy begging for a handout as I get off of I95 (or anywhere else).

People are afraid for their jobs and houses .... and that is why the boat industry and the boat market are suffering.

I agree with the guy wanting the handout. They just make it worse. Sometimes I want to lose control of the car and...............

I am one of the people being afraid FYI. It seems I am lucky to have only lost 60% of my income. I still have 2 full time jobs to keep me busy so I guess I should be happy.

Our forefathers all came here and worked hard. We grew up knowing it was the only way to make something of ourselves. It gave many of us a sense of worth. What has happened to the youth of today?


I work with one of the court systems in the juvenile part. You would not believe what they let them get away with. Again and again and again. Probably has something to do with the crime rate.
