  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
67' COCKPIT MY (1987 - 1995)
I looked at this Yachtworld listing yesterday and WOW its quite a 43DCMY!!

HOLY COW! I have NEVER seen a 43DCMY this nice. That is extremely impressive. That is what an open-checkbook refit should look like. The only thing it is missing IMHO is a cockpit to balance her lines (and higher-hp engines). I bet whenever BOSS LADY is ready she will look something like this but even better.

Incredible. I'm just glad there are people out there with enough disposable cash that see the value in a complete refit to an old Hatt. That poor fellow will not be able to enjoy his dream boat because his situation has changed and that is just plain sad. Life is too short.

Great looking boat. The hard top is to big for the boat though.

I would definitely have stabilized it.

I wonder how much reconfiguring the flybridge seating cost. That would make my wife unbelievably happy.

Certainly very nice - something looks odd proportion-wise though I'm not sure what it is. Maybe that hard top as mentioned? The boat just seems a bit strange looking for some reason.

Mike,

You're right...but I think it may be the fact that all the windows have a white covering on them. Just makes it look strange.

I agree with you the white window covers do throw off the boat -- in these pictures. I am wondering why they were not removed for the photos. I think the hard top is "just right" for the boat, the forward overhang is needed for several reasons... A cockpit would make the boat look even better but WOW what a fantastic job on this boat!!!

Nice boat. I agree about the exterior looks. I think the side windows in the aft enclosure detract from the looks as well as the hardtop. The interior, however, is fantastic! I might have done the aft deck furniture more like SeaEric as another salon instead of with built-ins, though. I can't imagine how much time and money went into that boat. Someone is going to get a real steal.

SeaEric's aft deck gets my thumbs up for best open-air aft deck, with out question!

I agree, Jack. SeaEric wins for open-air.

But if I were doing built-ins, then I'd have to give the nod to that nice back deck that Chris has on his 48MY.

Here it is:

Maybe it is the covered windows. But I was looking in the old brochures and they have much nicer proportions (IMHO). I think it's the flybridge/hardtop that makes it seem oddly shaped.

Sky,

Those are two VERY VERY nice aft decks! I would feel right at home on both aft decks, with a nice boat drink in hand ;-)

Thanks for the nice compliments. You all are too kind. The built ins are beautiful, but my stern lines are easier to get to! BTW, my boat is currently on the market. A wild hair- don't ask. The "sales prevention" committee set the unreasonably high ask price, so I'm probably safe unless an "angel" appears.
