Givem' the Slip (Mack Isle)...

Surprise, surprise! I was able to get a slip at Mack Isle for the 4th of July weekend. Usually, at least a couple years ago, before the economy tanked and Michigan's economy fell off the earth, you had to reserve a July 4th slip the day after 6 months in advance. So I am either lucky, or its going to be slow Up North again (too bad).

Hope the weather is decent. A hard core leftie friend of mine still doesn't believe the global warming is over, as bad as the summer was last year in MI and 47 states with Snow. Just hope we get some decent weather on the 4th!

49 states. Hawaii is in the southern hemisphere so it may get snow in 6 months when it is winter there and semmer here.

I noticed that same thing when I was on the MI DNR site last night. I almost made a reservation myself.

Yeah, I thought I heard 49 states, but 47 was to be conservative. I knew it wasn't 57 states, as the POTUS says, but those are the number of emirate states I think...geez, political already...!

P.s, I am going to get an anemometer (wind meter) installed on the boat this summer, as I have been caught out in a blow twice two many times. I suspect about 22knots will be max wind while idling, vs going...or is that too high?
