GFO Flax math ?

Our 37C has 1.75" shafts and takes 3/8"square flax. How much (length) do I need? The blueprint shows three rings per shaft. I ask because GFO sells the fiber packing in 24" lengths. Thanks

The packages they sell will typically do one shaft (3 rings) with a bit left over.
