Getting a new 30" oven in a 61' galley up

Looks like a 30" free standing stove will fit very nicely where the exsisting dishwasher under neath the old electric cook top now sits. The question is how to get it in the galley. All the new 30" width stoves seem to be the same depth at around 25" to 26" and the door to the galley sits at 23 1/2". Has any one accomplished this task already. We looked at a several 61's during our search with the new ovens already in place. The choices seem to be to try and disassemble the oven to the point it will go through (its close) or remove one of the galley side windows. Coming up the stern seems fairly easy with the davit and the double rear doors. An inch or two either way is all thats is needed to slide it through. Hoisting it through a window will require a lot of Saturday magic. Somebody got a newer fridge thats 28" with the doors off so maybe I'm missing the clue.

I haven't done it on a 61, but we just put a new galley in our 54, including an LG 30" slide-in range. We put it through the salon window opening. It went through just fine.

When you pick out your range be careful to check the true dimension of the top. We found that all the 30" drop-in and most of the 30" slide-in ranges had a top that was actually 31" wide, creating a half inch overhang on each side. If your current range is located next to a bulkhead like ours was the 31" top will not fit into the hole. The LG and GE Cafe line slide-ins were the only moderately-priced ranges we found that would actually fit.
