Generator Sound shield cleaning

Had my forward generator run for three hours with the oil fill cap off in error. Not much oil loss to speak of.
Sound shield insulation is a foam material ( factory Kohler EOZD sound enclosure) and it has a bit of splashed oil on it. What is best to clean this with?

Can you take them off and out of the boat? If so I’d use Dawn to get it off the foam insulation. Scrub with a soft brush and rinse. Anything harsher may Dissolve the foam insulation. You might do a sample with something like the purple stuff, simple green or some stronger grease cutting liquid.
