Shep was one of my boyhood idols. He had a radio show on WOR New York late at night. I could tune him in just barely on my clock radio. The guy was a great storyteller who wrote the cult classic Christmas story. This was at Pier 66 in Lauderdale I think 70 or 71. The 50 was the Bear and owned by his friend that owned Bear wheel alignment co. It was the only Hatt I eversaw back in the day with yellow accent stripes. This was one of the few with 8/71s in it.

I always enjoyed reading him back when he was a regular contributor to Car and Driver. Late 60s and early 70s I believe.
