Galleymaid Head pump Mouse Patrol

Despite countless warnings, a guest flushed a cotton mouse down the Galleymaid head. It seems not to have gotten caught. Is there any chance it will make it past the macerater and not become an issue?

There's a fair chance it will be OK. The GM head pumps are pretty good at passing things that most heads will not. I'd do several 5-6 second (or longer) flushes in succession and if it is still working normally, I'd say you got away with it!

So far, so good. But, I do know the answer to how to build a better mouse trap.

My vacuflush will pass them only to get caught at the directional valve.

Same with a Q-tip. A friend of mine's wife learned the hard way not to flush them.
