Hatteras Model
Not Currently A Hatteras Owner
Does anyone have any pictures of an upgrade to a Hatteras Motoryacht galley. 53 to 63 foot models.
This would be the removal of the Modern Maid unit. I am planning to replace the cook top and the upper oven and overhead fan unit. Any pictures and info would be appreciated. Thanks Skater

This is one of the nicer one's that I have seen. 1980 53 Classic. Dishwasher was eliminated in the renovation.

Look at photos in my gallery, went with a 5 burner double oven stove and just a small microwave. My wife likes to cook so a real stove was important to her. John

i dont have any pics but i removed the dishwasher/modernmaid stovetop and oven. replaced with a standard glass cooktop oven combo and a microwave hanging above it. everything fit without any cabinet modifications.

Poor man's galley update!

Tomorrow I am removing the original Modern Maid cooktop and the upper oven and vent fan. If anyone needs any parts let me know. The boat is in Maryland, on the Eastern Shore.

In case you're taking out the dishwasher as well, I'm looking for the front glass panel because mine is all scratched up as you can see in the picture below

Sorry, dishwasher went 2 years ago. It was scratched also.

Good Luck with your project SKATER. When I updated the galley on PIZZAZ a few years back, the old Modern Made unit was difficult to remove. If there is any way you can keep that old unit working, stick with it. I too wanted full size appliances, but still wanted to retain the original cabinetry and woodwork.

I still found it necessary to build custom cabinetry for the convection/microwave. (and upgrading the galley electrical to accommodate the new appliances). There is lots to consider.
