Hello all, I have my Galley Maid 32-7 fresh h2o pump constantly tripping off at pump switch (not breaker). It may stay on for a day or just a matter of minutes. Before buying any parts such as pressire switch, stator, rebuild kit... I wanted to ask you if any advice or solutions to troubleshoot this issue? Thanks

Call these guys: http://www.razmarinepumps.com/ they are very helpful.

It's hard to figure out what switch you are talking about. The pressure switch?

Thanks George. Yes pressure switch trips off. I'll give them a call as this is Raz Marine setup!

You might well have a slow leak somewhere down stream. Do you have a water pressure meter installed? Would be a very good addition if you don't.

a kinda fix or should say repair. You have a pressure switch with a shut off switch on the side. I like them. Anyway if your wife files her nails
steal her metal file (not the cardbord one about the size of a icecream stick) it is usually two sided and sands gently. CUT THE POWER OFF..... take the cover off the pressure switch. There are contacts in there. Use the file and clean them. Sometime the contacts get burned and will not hold
You can use sand paper but it leaves grit.
As i understood your post it was kicking out the pressure switch and not the circuit breaker. If it is the breaker its another problem..

Spot on Tim, I had the same issue two weeks ago and cleaned it up with a metal file. Just needed to clean the points, just like my old car.

George, I do have a pressure gauge on the accumulator tank. I will look over system when I get back in a week (of course I left for work before I could actually dig into troubleshooting!). The Admiral is there and only knows how to reset switch as of now. Thanks!

Tim, thanks! She most certainly does have a nail file and I will give it a go when I get home next week!

if your pressure switch is like the squar D one that switch will shut the electricity off to the pump when pressure is low. As said you may have a leak lowing the pressure to get low and cutting off the pump at the pressure switch.
That is what it is suppose to do saving the pump from running dry. I put a pressure gauge right at the switch allowing me to set pressure and if i have a problem at one glance see if pressure is a issue.

Tim, yes indeed it's a square D switch. I followed link above and for $21 to replace new sounds very good to just change it out. Realize that I will need to bleed off and secure power. Then charge system back up. I'll try to attach photo. Being a 32vdc motor, will this new switch work?

Undo the nut on top of the pressure switch. Take off the cover and look there should be a sticker under there. Be sure what pressure you have. Purchase the same more than likely it is 20 /40 try to purchase the same one. I see you have a pressure gauge on the tank it is close to the pressure switch so if necessary you can adjust the new switch.
You may be spending time and money in vain. First sand down the contacts Its a lot easier. Yes the squar D in the switch in the pick will work. It is like a connection point or off on switch.

Again, sand down the points with a metal file before changing it out. Just hit the breaker, remove the cap and run a file across the top and bottom of the points. If it still trips then get a new pressure switch. Good luck.

Thanks, will hopefully fly home Wednesday and will file contacts. Let you know if this works!
