I live aboard my 43 DCFB, and would much prefer reading about other Hatteras enthusiasts lifestyle, boats, cruising experiences. There are many active websites to discuss politics... this one seems inappropriate.

Just because the majority of less than successful people like the redistribution of wealth and the loss of our way of life does not mean Nobama is doing a good job. If you don't think the dude in residence at 1000 PA Ave is anti-everything that is associated with boating, then you may be in a for shock. So this thread may not 'float your boat', but I am truly, in every sense of the word, concerned that boating as we know it could be impacted by coming policies. Fuel cost, Cap'n'Trade cost increases, access to petroleum, taxes on our 'luxury' item, etc. I think the economy will right itself, as it has twice before in my working life, even though it was just as bad, if not worse in the early 80's. However, that assumes there are not massive structural changes in our financial systems.

So maybe this is not a post about holding tanks (why does the economy make me think of that?), but its not too far off!

I'm just a little Canadian but I can't do the math on how your POTUS is ever going to pay for the bail-outs on the "bailers"! Those companys know they're hooped but nobody wants to believe it. Every small business owner/innovative business will be crippled by thr debt and nobody will be able to afford a Hat. I know most of us guys live a very fortunate life, and hopefully all support less fortunate folk, but throwing money after bad behaviour never wins a war! I thought that investing in strongand growing business was generally a good investment guide. Is AIG etc a growth opportunity? Should Hatteras get govt. money or does he give it to Meridian because they're bigger? I just get really confused by American capitalism. Sorry

It's hard to like a president , or anyone for that matter, who defends terrorists, and short changes kids, wanted to get back money for the health care for VETs from insurance companys and is expanding the the benifits to illegal alliens, or who bails out a compamy, AIG, with 165 billion without any rules and then blames every one execpt the people who gave them the money.

Yesterday I heard something on the news that really hit home on how bad our future will be under the President's ecenomic plan: The average cost of the stimulus / bailout packages is $79,000 per household, and the government has none of this money available. They will have to print every dollar of it.

Does anyone doubt inflation is headed our way?

It will take many years of a healthy economy to pay off this debt, and yet he has three new budgets to make sure he grows government into every facet of our economy. By the time we get rid of this guy, the damage will most likely be terminal. He can't be this stupid-he must be doing this on purpose.

But the libtards just do not care! I just read the local communist rag [ St Pete Times} and there was a letter to the editor chastising them for saying that hussein had broken his no lobbyists pledge. The letter writer said that hussein was leading us out of the financial problems and to leave him alone.
I swear they must crawl out from drug induced state once every four years to vote.
