Fully fledged HOF Member

After a lot of research and help from Yacht Forums and HOF, I have now bought a 1970 53.
Thanks to those who were a great help, Tom Slane, Tim Powell, rtrafford and the the forums in general! The amount of knowledge, help and comraderie is fantastic on both forums.

Congrats and WOW! Is that Tom's old boat that has the Meritt interior? Does she still have 12V71N's? She looks fantastic!

She has an interesting history to say the least! Tom was a lot of help when it came to filling in the gaps with her background. She has "new" complete out of boat rebuilds on 12V71N's with 95 hours and the survey was the best I have seen in any vessel, including new. Which is not to say I am not expecting some surprises!
I will keep you posted on additions etc. So far I have added all new electronics, outriggers etc and it is just beginning!

Damn, forgot to thank you Mate! Your knowledge of the 12V71N's settled me down a lot and after sea trial, was happy to have them!

Yes, Bob Downey is the Gentleman that has been taking care of her. A real nice guy and someone who knows his boats.
I will be posting interiors soon as well as other details for the database. To be honest, I am stunned at the welcome and look forward to many enjoyable shared experiences.
