I'll probably change these any way, but thought I'd get others' thoughts.
When I first bought my 48MY 9 years ago, the fuel system was dirty enough that I experienced unexpected shut downs. I added vacuum gages to avoid surprises and get ahead of the issue and now I guess it is pretty well cleaned up. MY last Racor/secondary filter change was May of 2013, some 4000 miles ago. The vacuum gages are still well within the green but slowly rising; that is I can see a small difference after the last thousand miles this spring even after running several hours in 3-4' short chop on the Bay..
The engines make full load RPM with out smoke etc. The gages are Racor mounted so don't reflect the secondary's condition. Thirty micron Racor, seven micron secondary. What say, change them?
