For the past three years I've had to add freon to my stateroom Cruisair unit. The unit would cool properly but would not provide heat. Each year the technician would have to add freon to make it provide heat. We searched for leaks but could never find any ... and finally determined that it was probably a pin hole in some concealed space ... and that when the freon leaked out to a certain pressure that the leak stopped ... thus being able to cool but not heat.
OK ... this Spring my home freezer stopped cooling and the technician discovered a pin hole leak. He added a product called ACR Super Seal and then topped off the freon. The leak stopped.
So, with this new weapon against pin hole leaks, I had the Cruisair technician add the ACR Super Seal to my stateroom unit and top off the freon. Since it was warm weather when we did this I haven't been able to test for heat until this past weekend. The unit is heating!
I'm not trying to promote this product ... just passing along what has worked for me. If anyone wants to read more about the product you can go to: www.cliplight.com
