For cruising Caribbean up, down and around

Which boat:

53 hat sport fish with naturals

53 yachtfish

58 yachtfish

65 Sportsfish (love the boat hate the draft!, but likely best in nasty seas)

My thinking is that 53 yachtfish is the sweet spot, rails all around for safety, shallow draft.

But how good is it in nasty seas when you get caught out?

Now I finally have FTL dockage for any of these..plus my gofast

53 YF is a poor compromise on my opinion. The 58 YF is a much better option.

Budget permitting I would look at any of the wider beam CMY. Beam is critical. Love my 53MY but another 2’ beam would be so much better.

For the Bahamas, you could get away with no stabs but for the Carib stabs are an absolute must.
