Two years old and shot already? I've been pondering getting one, but is that the typical lifespan?

We have a second that is working fine. The one that does not work - sync connector is bad which does not allow charging or syncing with master Itues files.

I do have a great navigation app for the Ipad. I use it on the boat as a backup. So easy to use, sometimes I refer to it more than my Furuno chart plotter.
