Folks falling off cruise ships???

What is going on with all the folks falling/jumping off of cruise ships lately? Another couple fell off of a balcony this morning in the Gulf of Mexico. They were rescued but man, you used to never hear about this and now, it seems like there is a new story every week...??? Sure tempting the fates...

I've been on cruise ships where we had staterooms with balconies....how in the heck do you just happen to fall off one of those?

The railing is chest high on me and goes all the way to the floor, so you can't slide under it either. I think you've got to be doing something really stupid to fall off a cruise ship. Something tells me there is an abundant amount of alcohol involved when one of these things happens.

Sooner or later some attorney and an insurance company will require the cruise ships to glass in the balconies... to protect us from ourselves.

That's probably one reason that they are all registered in foreign ports. They don't want to be governed by US law.

what cruise ships ? the last cruise SHIPS are beging cut up on indian beaches or rotting away in ports... except for a handful like the QE.

What are you talking about "indian beaches"? I saw on tv where some woman disappeared off one and they though maybe she was murdered an the cruise line people covered it up. My wife and kids like Carnival, but we never left from Miaim before. Maybe they just keep small ships down there?

Yeah how can you, "just fall off" of a cruise ship? Please... I was watching CNN and the latest info I have on the couple that fell off the ship this week was that they were reenacting the scene from the movie "Titanic" when the two characters were on the bow of the ship?

The other guy who recently "fell" off only to be saved, was recently on TV for an interview and in a nut shell said it was excessive drinking - no kidding?!Would you really own up to that on national TV?

Carl, watching the news tonight, that guy that fell/jumped off the cruise ship was some 20 something yo kid named GUZMAN ?????? no relationship I'm sure

I also saw on the news that he has been offered all these interviews and may even write a book about the ordeal. I think he was "lost at sea" for 8 hours and stands to make mega bucks for the book...
