Foam density question

I am going to the foam shop to replace a v-berth mattress 5" thick. Does anyone know what density Hatteras used? I am told 40% or higher is very firm, uncomforatble to most people, get 25-30%

use 3" of medium and 2 " of memory foam on top, you will not believe it.

And then you can buy a can or two of 3M spray adhesive and glue the two pcs' together.
