does anyone have pics of a flybridge removal /core repair? Id like to see if I can repair my 43 dc without removing the bridge and wiring...

What is the nature and extent or you core problem?

Lilly Marie's hardtop core is wet and the area around the FB hatch was sunken. I repaired that and posted a few pics. Later I will probably work on the rest but don't think it necessary to remove the FB. I started drilling two inch diameter holes inside the FB enclosure next to the FB mounting screws and intend to clean out the bad balsa around the hole and under the screw and fill that with epoxy. I will use the drilled holes to dry the core but do not intend to replace all of the core. Filling the areas around the FB screws should stiffen things enough except for the area around the FB seat pedestal. I should be able to remove the pedestal and clean out the area under and around it and fill it with epoxy as well.

thanks ,but Im looking for pics of separating the top mold half to underliner if there any out there to see where there are bond points . Im a boatbuilder and Im not looking for how to repair rather than looking at what the can of worms looks like inside so I can plan accordingly . my current plan is to not remove bridge mold but to lift it up and block it to get to a portion , then do the other, and re bed . figuring there may be a clean separation if i pull at the bondline after removing the trim hollow back stainless.

Not sure i follow your plan, but if it is to remove the ss trim then lift up and separate the upper and lower halves of the hardtop, I doubt you can do that.

The balsa core is glued to the fg skins and the coring is not all rotted. There are, to my experience areas of sound core next to totally rotten core, and the sound core is firmly attached to the fg skin and will prevent you from separating the upper and lower surfaces.

Regards
