Miguel, all bets are off as to discussions to arrange a marriage between Ryan and your granddaughter! You're just going to have to find another way to gain U.S. citizenship unless she takes after her mother's side of the family! :D

All kidding aside, it's nice to put a face with the words my friend! Nice fish too!

JLR, son, if that pretty girl is anywhere near 30, you and I need to have us a little talk if things go south with me and the misses!

Obviously just kidding there as well. There is no way that cutie is anywhere near 30! :D

Now that the stage has been set, I'll post a picture of Ryan holding his first Largemouth Bass caught last Thanksgiving in Nanna's pond in Missississississipppi (dang it, that always happens!).

I bought him his first little spinning rod & reel while we were doing the man thing a couple of months ago at Boater's World. He picked out the "lellow" spinning combo because the handle would turn both ways. I had way more fun than he did just watching him pretend to cast that thing the whole time we were in that Mexican restaurant we had lunch in that day! :)

She's not quite 30, in fact she is 18 and off to UVA to start college in the Fall. Funny thing. When we first went fishing, she did not want to even touch the rod. Then I got her to hold the rod. Then I got her to reel in after I hooked the fish. Now she won't let me near the rod and gets offended at the thought that her old dad needs to set the hook for her. What great way to pass the time. Looking for px of her brother to post as soon as I can find them.

Sorry Miguel.
Both of the children beat you hands down and I don't think it would matter what shirt you wear. You have been truely blessed though. You have a beautiful granddaughter and she enjoys the boat. ( she even let you hold her fish )
Fred

OOPS! Sorry I mis read the post. JLR's beautiful daughter.
Fred

Here is a picture of my son, standing next to a local fishing sharpie who I hire to make sure we catch fish when out with clients, as we were this day. Another great fishing smile. Also a funny fish story about my son. When he was very young, he caught his first striper (about 32"). I went to the taxidermist with him and ordered a mount for his wall. Sure enough, when we got the mount back, that 38" striper is still prominently displayed today on his wall. Wonder how it came back that size--that's what dad's are for.

Hey Ed, at least your wife must be good lookin'! :p

Here's my little fishless fisherman. Heck, I know I have a picture of him holding that bass on here someplace, but I just couldn't resist adding my buddy to the list. :)

Ok Randy, I have to talk to my son first, but I think we have a deal here...
Miguel

Yeah yeah, price of admission just went up amigo! :)

Hopefully there will be many, many more pictures like this one for me to sit back and watch like the old guy did when the spaceship comes for me! ;)

Of course, the grow up so fast...but she'll still fish with me. Just wish the fish would get bigger!

LOL Now that we're bud's and all, I hope she keeps getting older at a faster rate than I do if things don't work out with Michelle!

I'd make you a fine son-in-law there Ed!

Ed, thanks God you were wearing your glove when you grabbed the leader....!!!!
Miguel

Actually he didn't have the glove on to begin with. But after a 45 minute battle with the leader that raged all over the boat and ended at the bow he had to get the glove so he wouldn't bleed all over his boat. :p

LOL, I was waiting for someone to spot that glove! Heck, if I bleed all over the boat, I'm the one that has to wash it!
