  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
52' CONVERTIBLE (1983 - 1990)

I saw this boat almost a year ago but was out of my thoughts as a good buy or a smart buy so i just walked. The owner has pased leaving the family to look after it no one has interest. It has sat for almost a year with someone going to the boat about once every week cleaning and starting it up. The asking price was 399,ooo totally off the screen. The boat was relisted about 4 months ago at approximately 150000. I went and looked again with the broker and later met the keeper in hand was a file of what had been spent and work done. It amounted to just short of 360.000. The engines are tired with 2000 hours the generator shows about 200,000 but it was replaces last year and the meater not changed or updated it has less than 50 or so. The whole boat has been striped of all wire and panels and redone. The list goes on and on. So i made a offer and it was excepted go to survay tuesday.
Intent I purchased a pair of 3406 cats with less than 1000 hours so here we go. I have been in touch with Hatteras refit boys the cruse numbers and top speed are super. The fuel burn is grate. The resuls a hot rod under 200.000 that looks good and is fast. I had my heart set on a 52c but i settled for a 46 Tim

Looks very nice. Good luck with her, welcome to the 46 club!

Good luck Tim! You won't be disappointed with the 46C. I know it's not the 52C you wanted but she will suit your needs well. Its much more than just a foot bigger than your 45C was. Looks like you have underwater exhaust and the larger running gear already installed! Big plus when you go to put the Cats in. Looks like the old listing is still out there.

Going to use the DD till winter prices go down when work slowes down. Hope they stay together till then they have never been rebuilt be four. That is original hours on those engines not the boat.
