I just wanted to take one final moment in the pulpit to say good-bye. I came on to this forum not to change it, but to meet people with Hatteras yachts which would hopefully lead to making new friends with those of similar boats and mindsets. I have made personal friendships I'm sure will last a lifetime. Mission accomplished, it's time to move on.
I would like to thank Doug Langley and all the good folks at Sam's for allowing me the opportunity and the means to accomplish the aforementioned goal. I would also like to thank the rich folks who bought my Hatteras yachts new and kept them long enough to eat the depreciation to the point where I could afford them!
To those of you who took the time to share your thoughts with me, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. As I said in an earlier thread, you guys (and gals) have made a difficult year a little easier to handle. I wish nothing but the best for all of you as well as the continued success of this forum. This forum was recommended to me by Hatteras when I bought my 41 last spring, and the rest is history. As stated earlier, I never expected that what started out as just another boat purchase would take me where this one did. But then again, we all know a Hatteras is not just another boat! LOL, Too bad I had to sort through all those Sea Rays to find out! You all have been great!
I am going to remain a part of the forum in PM mode only, nothing else needs to be said publicly. Meanwhile I would like to leave you with a little something to remember me by besides the Sandbar. Please stand and remove your hats.
"If I leave here tomorrow, will you still remember me? For I must be traveling on now, 'cause there's too many places I've got to see. If I stay here with you (guys), things just couldn't be the same. 'Cause I'm as free as a bird now, and this bird you can not change."
Sorry for messin' with the anthem Ronnie, we all remember you!
Take care everyone, write when you find work!
